Under the guidance of the Sales& Marketing Director, the Sales Manager is responsible to solicit, develop, and negotiate new business with clients in order to achieve budgeted room nights assigned for the Corporate market segment, both group and transient. Key Relationships
Internal interaction with all roles within the company that deals with revenue generation.            Director of Sales & Marketing, General Manager, Sales Managers, Sales Coordinator, Director of Revenue, Director of Convention, Catering Managers, Catering Coordinator and Executive Committee
Interacts with guests, clients as well as individuals outside the hotel including industry partners, suppliers, tradeshow exhibitors, our competitors etc.
Responsibilities
1.             Conducting targeted account research in assigned territories to determine revenue
2.             Proactively solicits and qualifies existing and new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals. Must have proven experience in  sales calls, trade shows, promotions, inquiries, telephone contacts and sales trips
3.             Respond to sales leads and clients' requests within 24 hours
4.             Preparation of customized proposals to meet client's needs.  Delegates contract details to Sales Coordinator for preparation.
5.             Tailors and makes sales presentations for prospective clients.
6.             Produces while working with other team members the annual Business Plan
7.             Produces and implements quarterly action plan to achieve activities quotas and revenue goal
8.             Analyses market trends, coordinates all activities to maintain and increase revenue
9.             9.   Meets and greets in house to ensure total customer service and improve client experience.
10 Provides tours for clients. Entertain clients at approved social functions
10.          Plans and executes sales trips
11.          12.  Attend major travel functions to promote sales for the hotel
13.           Attend all sales and public relations for hotel
14.           Maintains accounts in Hotel system - Delphi with all pertinent information
15.          Prepare weekly plan and follow through with all activities outline
